Pune: Heavy Traffic Jam on Jungli Maharaj Road Due to Closure of Baba Bhide Bridge
Shivajinagar, 24th July 2024: A massive traffic jam has been reported on Jungli Maharaj (JM) Road in Pune, causing significant concern among commuters. The congestion has been attributed to the closure of Baba Bhide Bridge.
The closure of the bridge was necessitated by the anticipated submergence due to the release of water from the Khadakwasla Dam. In response to this, traffic police have shut down the bridge to ensure public safety.
As a result, long queues of vehicles have formed on JM Road, exacerbating the traffic situation. Punekars are expressing their frustration and worry over the severe traffic jam, which has disrupted their daily commute.
Authorities are urging commuters to plan their travel accordingly and use alternative routes to avoid the affected area. The traffic police are working to manage the situation and alleviate the congestion as quickly as possible.
