Pimpri Chinchwad, 21st July 2024: A case of fake bail for five Bangladeshi intruders with cases registered at the Nigdi police station has come to light in the Pimpri court. A complaint has been lodged against a lawyer and another individual involved in this fraudulent activity.

Rahul Baban Bansode, a 34-year-old resident of Vitthalnagar, Bhosari, filed the complaint at Pimpri Police Station. According to the complaint, the accused included the lawyer who facilitated the bail and the relatives and friends of the detainees who collaborated with the lawyer.

The incident occurred on April 30th, between 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM, in the Court of the First Class Judicial Magistrate, Pimpri. Five Bangladeshi nationals had been arrested by Nigdi police and were in need of a local surety for their release. However, the accused, in collusion with the lawyer, deceived the court and the prosecutor by using Bansode’s Aadhaar card to secure bail for the detainees, despite Bansode not being present in the court.

The Pimpri Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter further. The incident raises serious concerns about the integrity of legal processes and the potential for abuse of the judicial system.

The investigation by Pimpri Police aims to uncover the extent of the involvement of the accused individuals and any possible network facilitating such fraudulent activities. Authorities are also examining how the misuse of Aadhaar and other identity documents was carried out without detection.
