Pune Road Rage: Man Assaults Digital Content Creator Jeryln Dsilva In Baner
Baner, 20th July 2024: A disturbing case of road rage has emerged involving an elderly man who allegedly assaulted digital content creator Jeryln Dsilva on the Baner-Pashan Link Road in Pune.
Dsilva, who has over 70,000 followers on Instagram, shared details of the violent incident on social media. The incident occurred today while she was driving on the Baner-Pashan Link Road. A motorist attempted to overtake her, prompting Dsilva to move her vehicle to the side. However, the driver stopped his car, confronted her, and struck her in the face, causing severe bleeding. He also pulled her hair and attacked her in front of two young children who were with Dsilva.
Dsilva revealed that the motorist had been speeding behind her for about 2 kilometers before the confrontation. She received medical treatment at a private hospital in Baner and reported the incident to the police.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Vijay Kumar Magar told Punekar News, “We have received a complaint. The complainant was traveling on a two-wheeler with small children. The accused is a middle-aged man. A case is currently being registered, and all parties are at the police station. Chaturshrungi Police are investigating the matter further.”
