Hadapsar, 16th July 2024: Amanora Park Town and residents have appealed for proactive measures to address the recent increase in mosquito populations in Hadapsar, especially around Amanora Park Town and nearby localities.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a noticeable rise in mosquito activity in certain areas of Amanora Park Town. This issue has been attributed to various factors, including weather conditions and the presence of stagnant water in some locations. We have been closely monitoring the situation and have developed a comprehensive plan to tackle this problem effectively, the resident said.

Residents have requested the PMC’s kind attention towards the health risks associated with mosquito infestation, and we assure the residents of Amanora Park Town and nearby communities towards resolving this issue promptly towards a safe and comfortable living environment for all residents.

Col Sanjeev Mujumdar (retd), Director of Township Management, Amanora, said, “Despite the increasing frequency of fogging and anti-larva treatment schedule by the administration in the township serious mosquito infestation issues are still being faced. We have approached various authorities to clean the Nallahs and adjacent waterlogged areas, but we have not been very successful in getting their attention. This is creating a serious health risk to thousands of people living in Amanora as well as in adjacent communities. We hope PMC and the various authorities take it seriously keeping in view Dengue and Zika virus spread reported in Pune”.
