Pune Airport’s New Terminal To Get Operational From Sunday, Check Changes In Traffic Movement Plan

Viman Nagar, 12th July 2024: Pune Airport has announced the operationalization of the New Integrated Terminal Building on 14.07.2024 (Sunday) in the presence of Murlidhar Mohol, Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation. Two Airlines (Air India and Air India Express) will start Operating from New Building. Remaining airlines operating at Pune Airport will start operation from New Building in phased manner.

Air India Flight AI – 858 (Pune –Delhi) and Air India Express Flight I5 320 (Pune – Bhubaneswar) will be the first flights to depart from Pune airport at 4 pm and 4.10 pm respectively. To manage the traffic movement during transition phase of simultaneous operation of both Terminal building, certain changes have been introduced in vehicle movement plan at Pune Airport.

For passengers of flight Operating from New terminal building – the entry for departure and arrival will be from newly constructed checkpoint gate. For departures, passengers will take left lanes whereas Person coming to new building for arrival will follow right lanes. The traffic will then be directed from the building towards two exit points – One towards newly constructed Viman Nagar road and other towards Symbiosis/Lohegaon road.

For passengers of flight Operating form exiting terminal building – the entry for departure and arrival will be same as before. To maintain synergy in vehicle movement, during exit the traffic of exiting terminal building will be merged into Arrival lane of New Terminal Building. The traffic will then follow the road to take either of the two exit points – One towards newly constructed Viman Nagar road and other towards Symbiosis/Lohegaon road.
