Bengaluru, 9th July 2024: The manager of One8 Commune, a restaurant and pub co-owned by Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, has been booked by Bengaluru police for allegedly operating past the allowed hours. An FIR has been filed at the Cubbon Park Police Station.

According to reports, Cubbon Park police noticed that the pub, located on the top floor of the Ratnam complex, was still active after 1 AM. A sub-inspector patrolling the area discovered the establishment was serving customers beyond the permitted time. The FIR states, “The One8 Commune pub on Kasturba Road was found serving customers at 1.20 AM on July 6, which exceeds the closing time.”

Additionally, reports noted that three other pubs faced similar action for operating beyond the allowed hours. In Bengaluru, pubs are permitted to serve customers until 1 a.m. and must cease operations thereafter.

Following its success in Delhi and Mumbai, Virat Kohli’s One8 Commune launched in Bengaluru last December. In an interview, Kohli mentioned his fondness for Bengaluru, calling it his favourite city and expressing a deep connection to it. Situated near Cubbon Park, One8 Commune quickly gained popularity among locals. The establishment has since expanded to Hyderabad.
