Suv Sale: Tata Punch Leads Top 10 SUVs in June 2024
Pune, 8th July 2024: In June 2024, India’s SUV market witnessed robust sales, with Tata Punch emerging as the most favored model. Reports indicate that Tata Motors sold a total of 18,238 units of the Tata Punch, priced starting at Rs. 6.13 lakh ex-showroom. This marks a significant increase from the 10,990 units sold in June 2023. Following closely, Hyundai’s Creta secured a prominent position with 16,293 units sold, showcasing strong consumer preference. Maruti Suzuki’s Brezza ranked third in the top 10 list, recording 13,172 units sold nationwide, up from 10,578 units in June last year.
Mahindra’s Scorpio maintained its popularity with 12,307 units sold, reflecting an upward trend from 8,648 units in June 2023. Tata Nexon retained its position in the top rankings, despite a slight dip to 12,066 units compared to 13,827 units last year. Other SUVs in the top 10 list include Hyundai Venue with 9,890 units, Kia Sonet with 9,816 units, Maruti Frontex with 9,688 units, Maruti Grand Vitara with 9,679 units, and Mahindra XUV 3OO with 8,500 units sold.
The sales figures underscore the strong demand for SUVs in India, driven by competitive pricing, features, and brand loyalty among consumers. Manufacturers continue to innovate and expand their SUV portfolios to cater to diverse consumer preferences across the country.
