Terrorists Attack Army Convoy in Jammu’s Kathua District; Two Soldiers Injured

Srinagar, 8th July 2024: On Monday, an army convoy in the Machhedi area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, came under attack by terrorists, resulting in injuries to at least two soldiers.

According to reports from various sources, terrorists opened fire on army vehicles in Badnota village. In response, the soldiers engaged in a firefight with the attackers.

Two soldiers sustained gunshot wounds during the attack and were promptly taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

A police official mentioned that additional forces have been swiftly deployed to the location to reinforce security.

Recent months have witnessed a series of terrorist incidents in the Jammu region. On June 9, nine individuals lost their lives and 33 others were injured in an attack on a bus en route to the Shiv Khori cave temple in Reasi district. Security forces also eliminated two infiltrated terrorists in the Hiranagar area of Kathua on June 12, followed by the neutralization of three terrorists on June 26 in the Doda district.
