Pune: Talegaon Dabhade Municipal Council CEO NK Patil Suspended for Drunk Driving, Misbehavior Towards Women

Talegaon Dabhade, 8th July 2024: Talegaon Dabhade Nagar Parishad CEO NK Patil has been suspended following allegations of drunk driving and inappropriate behavior towards female staff members of the Nagar Parishad. Anirudh Jewalikar, Deputy Secretary of the Maharashtra State Department of Urban Development, issued the suspension order today.

 

On the 1st of June, CEO NK Patil drove a car under the influence of alcohol and collided with two vehicles in Talegaon Dabhade town. He fled the scene after the accident, leading to a police case being registered at Talegaon Dabhade Police Station. Forensic testing later confirmed his intoxication at the time of the incident.

 

Additionally, it was reported that NK Patil exhibited offensive and indecent behavior towards women officers and employees of Talegaon Dabhade Nagar Parishad. The Pune District Collector and Joint Commissioner of the Urban Development Department highlighted these issues in their report submitted to the Maharashtra State Government.

 

As a result, NK Patil has been suspended indefinitely from today pending further orders, due to charges of drunk driving and misconduct towards female officers and employees.
