Yonex Sunrise VV Natu Memorial All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2024 from 8th July
Pune, July 6, 2024: The prestigious Yonex Sunrise VV Natu Memorial All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament which is being organized by Poona District Metropolitan Badminton Association(PDMBA) and will be played at the PDMBA Sports Complex, Shivajinagar, Pune from July 8 to July 14, 2024.
Mr.Rajiv Bag, Tournament Secretary informed that, This will be the 32nd year of this tournament organized in memory of the late VV Natu, a stalwart of Indian badminton, is a crucial fixture in the national badminton calendar, attracting top-tier talent from across the country.
The event Organized by Poona District Metropolitan Badminton Association(PDMBA) under the aegis of the Maharashtra Badminton Association(MBA) and Badminton Association of India (BAI), the tournament will feature intense competition across multiple categories, including Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.
The VV Natu Memorial Tournament aims to provide a competitive platform for senior badminton players to showcase their talent and improve their national rankings. It also serves to honor the legacy of VV Natu, whose contributions to Indian badminton remain unparalleled, Mr.Bag added.
The tournament will offer a total prize money of Rs.500000/-.Mr.Shrikant Vad, Secretary of Maharashtra Badminton Association, Mr.Omar Rashid, Jt. Secretary of Badminton Association of India and Chairman of Technical official committee of Asia Badminton, Mr.Sekhar Biswas, Chairman of Tournament Committee of BAI will be present during this event.
