Pune: DoRBit Foundation Celebrates International Yoga Day with Zilla Parishad Schools, Reaching 1000 Students

Pune, 22nd June 2024: In honor of International Yoga Day, the DoRBit Foundation partnered with Zilla Parishad schools to bring the benefits of yoga to underprivileged children. Volunteers from the DoRBit NGO conducted yoga sessions in three schools, impacting approximately 1000 students on June 21st.

The DoRBit Foundation, known for its efforts to enhance education and infrastructure for underprivileged children, recognized the holistic benefits of yoga for physical and mental health. The foundation organized certified yoga sessions led by trainers Anurag Gore, Viraj Medhe, Dilpreet Kaur, and Alka Suman.

At the first location, students from classes 1 to 8 participated in yoga sessions that began with mantras and moved on to Surya Namaskar and various asanas. Founder Vipin Shrivastava joined the session, inspiring and motivating the young participants. Mrs. Pournima, the school headmistress, expressed gratitude to the DoRBit team and encouraged students to make yoga a part of their daily routines.

In the second school, volunteers Dilpreet Kaur, Raabia Kaur, and their team led sessions at New English High School, where students from classes 6 to 10 practiced yoga enthusiastically. School Principal Shri Ambadas Rode extended heartfelt thanks to the volunteers for their dedication to this noble cause.

Lastly, at Zilla Parishad School in Chande Gaon, Mulshi taluka, Alka Suman, a certified yoga trainer, led customized yoga sessions for young children from classes 1 to 4. School Headmistress Kumbhar appreciated the DoRBit team’s efforts in promoting physical and mental well-being among the students through yoga.
