Pune Travel Scam: Paradise Holidays Dupes Customers of Over Rs 11 Lakh

Aundh, 20th June 2024: In Pune, a travel company has defrauded its customers out of more than Rs 11 lakh by promising a trip to Kashmir. A case has been registered against the travel company’s director. This fraud incident took place at the company’s office in Aundh’s Bremen Chowk between February and June of this year.

 

Abhishek Manikrao Nanaware (37, resident of Market Yard) filed a complaint with Chaturshringi Police Station. A case has been registered against the director of Paradise Holidays, Ravindra Babaji Shendkar (resident of Aundh), under IPC sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation).

 

According to police reports, Shendkar had arranged a trip to Jammu and Kashmir for the complainant, Nanaware, who paid Rs 70,000 for the trip. By taking more money from two other customers for the same trip, he defrauded all three of them for a total of Rs 11,00,797. Chaturshringi Police are investigating the matter further.
