Pimpri Chinchwad: 3-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Stagnant Water Pit, Mirroring Kondhwa Tragedy
Bhosari, 12th June 2024: Following the Kondhwa Katraj road incident in which a 16-year-old girl drowned in a stagnant water pit, a similar tragedy occurred in Pimpri Chinchwad. A 3-year-old boy lost his life due to drowning in a stagnant water-filled pit.
The incident took place on Monday (10th June) at around 2:30 PM in Bhosari. The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Balaji Manjalwar (age 3).
According to police reports, Ganesh was playing in the front yard of his house when he accidentally fell into a pit filled with stagnant rainwater. Upon learning of the incident, the children playing with Ganesh informed his mother, who rushed to the scene and pulled him out of the pit. Ganesh was immediately rushed to the hospital, but the doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival. Bhosari Police have registered a case of Accidental Death (AD) in this incident.
