Hinjawadi, 11th June 2024: The Porsche incident that occurred in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar has now been echoed on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway. However, it seems that the Pimpri Chinchwad Police haven’t learned any lessons from the Kalyani Nagar incident.

As there was no formal complaint lodged about the accident, Hinjawadi Police released the driver. Nonetheless, CCTV footage has brought to light the details of this incident, which took place at Bhujbal Chowk in Wakad, under the jurisdiction of the Hinjawadi Police Station.

A woman was walking along the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway when a speeding car recklessly hit her. The impact was so forceful that the woman was flung several feet away, and the car went speeding into a nearby shop. The footage indicates that the woman may have sustained serious injuries. However, as neither the woman nor her relatives filed a complaint, Hinjawadi Police refrained from registering any crime in this case.

According to the Hinjawadi Police, since the woman’s injuries were not severe, neither she nor her family opted to file a complaint against the driver. This is the official stance of the Hinjawadi Police.

Yet, amidst the scrutiny faced by the Pune Police following the Kalyani Nagar Porsche incident, questions arise as to why the Pimpri Chinchwad Police didn’t take proactive measures and file a complaint themselves.
