Pune: PMPML Introduces Tourist Bus Service No. 2 for Religious and Tourist Destinations

Pune, 11th June 2024: The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) launched Tourist Bus Service No. 2 on Sunday (9th June) at Swargate Bus Stand. The service was inaugurated by Dr. Sanjay Kolte, Chairman and Managing Director of PMPML. Chief Transport Manager (Operation) Satish Gavhane, Traffic Planning and Operations Officer Narayan Karde, Swargate Depot Manager Shailesh Naik, employees, and passengers attended the event.

Many employees from various offices, colleges, schools, and industrial and IT sector companies have their weekly holiday on Saturdays and Sundays. Utilizing this opportunity, they plan trips. To facilitate comfortable, convenient, and affordable journeys for passengers, akin to PMPML’s Pune Darshan bus service, a special bus service for religious and tourist destinations through air-conditioned e-buses has been initiated on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays every week since 1st May 2024. A ticket price of Rs.500/- per passenger is charged for this tourist bus service.

The “Tourist Bus” on the route from Hadapsar to Sant Sopankaka Temple in Saswad, Sangameshwar Temple, Narayanpur, Balaji Temple (Ketkawale), Baneshwar Temple, Kondhanpur Temple, and back to Hadapsar was flagged off by the Chairman and Managing Director of PMPML, Dr. Sanjay Kolte, along with the passengers present on the occasion.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Sanjay Kolte mentioned that the PMPML has initiated various tourist bus services:

– Tourist Bus Service No. 1 (Route: Hadapsar, Morgaon, Jejuri, Saswad, Hadapsar)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 2 (Route: Hadapsar, Saswad Sopankaka Temple, Sangameshwar Temple, Narayanpur, Balaji Temple (Ketkawale), Baneshwar Temple, Kondhanpur Temple, Hadapsar)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 3 (Route: Deccan, Kharawade Mhasoba Devasthan, Temghar Dam, Nilkantheshwar Mandir, Deccan)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 4 (Route: Pune Station, Khadakwasla Dam, Panshet Dam, Varasgaon Dam, Pune Station)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 5 (Route: Pune Station, Pulgate, Hadapsar, Ramdara, Theur Ganapati, Prayagdham, Hadapsar, Pune Station)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 6 (Route: Pune Station, Wagheshwar Temple (Wagholi), Wadebolai, Shri Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Memorial Statue (Vadhu Budruk), Ranjangaon Ganapati, Pune Station)
– Tourist Bus Service No. 7 (Route: Bhakti Shakti Nigdi, Appu Ghar, ISKCON Temple (Ravet), Morya Gosavi Temple (Chinchwad), Shri Prati Shirdi Sai Baba Temple (Shirgaon), Dehu Gaon, Sant Tukaram Maharaj Gatha Mandir, Alandi, Bhakti Shakti Nigdi)
