Pune, 7th June 2024: Three days ago, Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Supriya Sule defeated her sister-in-law, Sunetra Pawar, who represented the Ajit Pawar-led NCP and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti coalition in the Baramati Lok Sabha election. MP Supriya Sule criticized Mahayuti for their alleged misuse of the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax Department (IT), and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). She also indirectly criticized her brother, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

In the Lok Sabha elections, Mahayuti, comprising the BJP, Ajit Pawar-led NCP, Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and others, did not achieve the desired success in Maharashtra. The entire nation’s attention was focused on the outcome in Baramati, where Supriya Sule emerged victorious. Sule visited the NCP office in Pune yesterday, where activists welcomed her enthusiastically and celebrated her victory. Following this, Sule interacted with the media, where she leveled harsh criticisms against Mahayuti.

Baramati MP Supriya Sule stated, “Mahavikas Aghadi achieved success in Maharashtra due to the dedication of its activists. Inflation, drought, unemployment, and corruption were deteriorating conditions in Maharashtra. However, instead of addressing these issues, they attempted to intimidate the opposition using constitutional bodies like the ED, CBI, and the IT department. The voters rejected this oppression.”

When asked what advice she would offer to Ajit Pawar, Sule responded, “We shouldn’t offer advice but should seek guidance from those who are more experienced and knowledgeable, both in work and age. No one can deny the development in Baramati. The Lok Sabha election in Baramati wasn’t personal but rather against an ideology.”
