The IMD has forecasted that the monsoon will continue to advance across India in the coming days, but it may weaken from next week. While the west coast is expected to receive substantial rainfall, most other areas will experience reduced rainfall.

Monsoon Arrival in Delhi

Delhi, which has been grappling with intense heat and heat waves, can expect the monsoon to arrive by the end of June. Last year, the monsoon reached Delhi on June 25. The anticipated arrival of monsoon rains is likely to bring relief to the residents of Delhi-NCR, who have been experiencing some respite from the heat in recent days.

Monsoon in Himachal Pradesh

The IMD has also predicted that the monsoon will reach Himachal Pradesh around June 20. The weather department has indicated that there will be no significant change in the weather pattern over the next week, with a reduction in rainfall after the initial two days.

Despite the incoming monsoon, several states continue to endure heat waves. The IMD has issued an orange alert for Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh, Eastern Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand, where temperatures are expected to soar above 40 degrees Celsius today.
