Nation, 05 June 2024: In a remarkable electoral feat, Shankar Lalwani, the incumbent Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party, has clinched victory from the prestigious Indore Lok Sabha seat for the second consecutive term, setting a ‘Maha Record’ in the process. Lalwani’s resounding triumph underscores his dominance in the region, solidifying Indore’s status as a bastion for the BJP.

With an impressive tally of over 12 lakh 26 thousand votes, Lalwani secured a decisive victory over his closest competitor, Sanjay Solanki of the Bahujan Samaj Party, by a staggering margin of more than 11 lakh 75 thousand votes. Solanki’s tally stood at a mere 51,659 votes, emphasizing Lalwani’s overwhelming mandate and widespread support among the electorate.

This historic win builds upon Lalwani’s previous success in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where he emerged victorious with a commanding margin of more than 10 lakh votes. His consistent performance underscores his unwavering popularity and the electorate’s confidence in his leadership.

Born on 16 October 1961 in Indore, Shankar Lalwani hails from a family rooted in social and political activism, with his father, Jamnadas Lalwani, being an active member of the RSS and the Jansangh party.
