Pune/Jabalpur, 2nd June 2024: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde spoke with the families of Ashwini Koshta and Anish Awadhiya, two tech professionals from Madhya Pradesh who were tragically killed in a Porsche accident in Pune nearly two weeks ago. Shinde assured the families that those responsible will face justice.

The ‘terahwi’ (13th day ritual) for both victims will be performed on Sunday. A Maharashtra government official visited Ashwini’s family in Jabalpur and facilitated a call with CM Shinde.

The Chief Minister also sent his Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to pay tributes. “The officer helped us speak with Shinde ji. He also paid homage and assured us that a proper and detailed investigation will be carried out, and no one found guilty will be spared,” said Suresh Koshta, Ashwini’s father.

“I am satisfied with the Maharashtra Police’s investigation, and the charges should be filed in court soon. The matter should be heard in a fast-track court. If the guilty are punished swiftly, it will set an example,” Koshta added.

Om Awadhiya, Anish’s father, who resides in Pali town of Umaria district, shared a similar experience. “Shiv Sena state president Thaneshwar Mahawar visited us and facilitated our conversation with the Maharashtra CM. Shinde ji offered his condolences and assured us that the guilty would receive the strictest punishment. He said the Maharashtra government stands with the families and that justice will be served,” said Awadhiya.

The tech professionals were run over by a Porsche in Kalyaninagar, allegedly driven by a drunk juvenile.
