Echoes of Pune Porsche Accident: Minor in Shirur Causes Fatal Bike Accident
Shirur, 1st June 2024: A distressing incident has surfaced where a minor daughter of a Police Patil was involved in a fatal collision with a bike rider in Arangaon, Shirur taluka, Pune.
The young girl was driving a pickup truck when the accident occurred, resulting in the death of the bike rider. This incident draws parallels with the recent Porsche incident in Pune’s Kalyani Nagar, where an allegedly intoxicated minor caused the deaths of two IT youths while speeding.
The occurrence in Arangaon has sparked discussions, echoing the concerns raised by the Kalyani Nagar incident. According to reports, the minor girl struck Arun Memane, who died on the spot. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
During the incident, the minor girl was driving the vehicle while her father, Police Patil Santosh Lendhe, was seated beside her. The Lendhe family was transporting freight in a tempo, accompanied by parents, son, and daughter. The girl was permitted to drive the vehicle when the collision occurred, dragging the young man for approximately 40 to 50 meters. Another youth, identified as Mahindra Bande, sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
The accident occurred on the outskirts of Arangaon, causing a commotion in the village as news quickly spread. Villagers gathered at the scene, and the injured youth was promptly hospitalized. The incident has prompted widespread concern, leading to the registration of a case at the Shirur Police Station.
