Pune, 30th May 2024: In a dramatic turn of events in the investigation of the Pune Porsche car crash, it has been uncovered that the blood sample of the minor involved was swapped with that of his mother at Sassoon General Hospital. Additionally, the blood samples of two other occupants in the car were replaced with those of their brother and father, respectively.

An inquiry report from a three-member committee of the medical education department has brought these findings to light and has been submitted to the government.

The incident, which occurred on May 19, involved a minor allegedly driving a Porsche at high speed under the influence of alcohol, leading to a collision with a bike and the deaths of two software engineers. The car had four occupants at the time: the minor driver, his driver, and two friends.

The case has spiraled into a controversy involving allegations of a cover-up, implicating politicians, doctors, and police officials.

Following the incident, the minor’s father was arrested, and the investigation turned towards the role of two doctors and a Class IV staff member from B J Government Medical College and Sassoon General Hospital. These individuals are accused of discarding the minor’s blood sample and substituting it with another.
