Pune, 25th May 2024: Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, has announced that the involvement of the Blak Marriott pub’s owners is under scrutiny in the second case filed against builder Vishal Agarwal, owner of Bramha Realty and Infrastructure, and five representatives of two pubs visited by Agarwal’s minor son before a fatal Porsche Taycan crash claimed the lives of two software engineers on Sunday.

Police have already arrested the owner and two employees of the Cosie pub, where the 17-year-old and his companions initially patronized, as well as two employees of Blak club, both establishments situated in Mundhwa.

When questioned about the absence of the Blak Club owner’s name in the FIR, Kumar explained, “The FL-III license is registered under the names of the two brothers who own the establishment. However, operational responsibilities have been outsourced to another agency. We are assessing the legal ramifications before implicating the owners in the case.”

According to Kumar, the license holders have furnished documentation to demonstrate that the pub was rented out, with these documents currently under investigation.

In parallel developments, the state excise department has filed charges against Sagar Chordia following allegations of serving alcohol to minors at the Blak Club.

Regarding the decision to file separate cases post-accident, Kumar clarified that the second FIR targets the teenager’s father and pub representatives under provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection) Act.
