Deaths in Separate Accidents Lead to Cases Against Drivers in Pune

Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th May 2024: Cases have been registered against drivers at Chakan and MIDC Bhosari police stations following two separate accidents on Tuesday (14th), resulting in the deaths of a 77-year-old citizen and a youth.

Sitaram Khatruji Uike (77) was killed in an accident at Moshi (Bhosari). Ravindra Sitaram Uike (41, Bopkhel) filed a complaint at MIDC Bhosari Police Station, leading to a case being registered against Tempo Traveler driver Paresh Somabhai Patel (45, Gujarat).

According to the police, Sitaram Uike was walking when Patel drove the Tempo Traveler at high speed, fatally striking him from behind, resulting in serious head and chest injuries.

In another incident, Kisan Rajaram Kale (35, Pimparkhed Beed) died in an accident at Talegaon Chowk in Chakan. Mahindra Ankush Gawali (36, Alandi) filed a complaint at Chakan Police Station, leading to a case being registered against truck driver Dharmaraj Dagdu Bachate (35, Kharpudi, Khed).

The police stated that the truck driver drove at high speed and rear-ended Kisan Kale, causing serious injuries that led to his death.
