Pune: Two-Way Traffic Flow In Khadki To Start From May 10, Check Details

Khadki, 1st May 2024: The Pune Traffic Police has announced alterations to the traffic flow in the Khadki area, effective from May 1, 2024, until further notice.

 

According to a press release from the Pune Traffic Police, the diversion of traffic from the old Mumbai-Pune highway through Khadki Bazar was necessitated due to ongoing highway and metro construction works. To ensure the safety and smooth movement of traffic in the area, changes have been implemented in accordance with the notification issued by the Government of Maharashtra Home Department under Sections 115, 116 (1) (A) (B), 116 (4), and 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

 

The following traffic changes will be in effect from May 1, 2024:

 

1. Two-way traffic for all types of vehicles will be introduced between Church Chowk and Bopodi Chowk on the Mumbai-Pune Old Highway.

2. Two-way traffic will be operational on Elphinstone Road from Bopodi Chowk to Holkar Bridge via Khadki Bazar.

3. Heavy vehicle flow will be restricted on Elphinstone Road between Bopodi Chowk and Holkar Chowk.

4. Vehicles originating from Harris Bridge and traveling via Khadki Police Station and Railway Underpass should utilize the route through All Set School from CFD Chowk.

5. Entry from Ordinance Factory Hospital Chowk to Henry Bridge from CFD Chowk will be closed.

6. Two-way traffic will be established on General Thorat Marg between Church Chowk and Ayudh Chowk.
