Fire Breaks Out at Ramsukh Chambers in Pune’s Raviwar Peth, No Injuries Reported
Pune, 22nd April 2024: A blaze erupted at the Shanti Crockery & Gift Article store located in Ramsukh Chambers at Raviwar Peth, around 5 am this morning. Upon receiving the alert, four fire engines and one water tanker were swiftly dispatched to the scene. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, although no injuries were reported.
The fire, which engulfed the ground floor of Ramsukh Chambers, necessitated an urgent response. Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene, equipped with breathing apparatus, ensuring there were no individuals trapped within the premises before commencing firefighting operations.
Given the significant inventory within the store and the proximity of neighbouring shops and residences, firefighters took precautionary measures to contain the blaze and successfully brought it under control within an hour, averting a major catastrophe. Residents were relocated to a secure location due to the heavy smoke, and exhaust blowers were deployed.
Although the precise cause of the fire remains undetermined, the consequences were severe, destroying the Shanti Crockery and Gift Articles shop and its merchandise. The commercial building, comprising a ground floor and four additional stories, houses various small and large businesses.
