Pune: Fire Engulfs Old Wada in Budhwar Peth, Fire Brigade Responds Swiftly

Budhwar Peth, 16th April 2024: A fire broke out in Devrukhkar Wada, a two-storied Wada near Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust Mandir in Budhwar Peth, at 1:55 PM. today. The fire brigade dispatched three fire engines and three water tankers to the scene upon receiving the information.

Although no one was living in the old mansion at the time of the incident, it housed a large amount of material for making trophies, which caught fire and produced significant smoke.

Around 10 officers and 40 personnel from the fire force worked to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading further. The fire is now under control, and cooling work is ongoing.

There were no injuries or fatalities reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
