Pune: Aarambh Foundation Celebrates World Sparrow Day with Grand Event

Pune, 22nd March 2024: In a heartwarming display of dedication to environmental conservation, the Aarambh Foundation marked World Sparrow Day on March 20 with a spectacular event held at The Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute. The occasion aimed to raise awareness about the plight of the sparrow, a beloved yet endangered bird species.

The event commenced with a ceremonial Ganesh Pooja conducted by Chaitanya Joshi, Co-founder of Dream Works Realty, and Nagpal, along with a captivating video presentation. Meghali Katdare then took the stage with a brief introduction, setting the tone for the enlightening proceedings.

Esteemed personalities including Shantilal Kataria (Aditya Builders-MD), Kapil Gandhi (Sigma One Universal-Founder), Nitin Sawant (NS Wealth Solution Pvt Ltd-Founder), Ruma Agwekar (Rotary Club Sahawas), Ar. Shashank Joshi (architect), Ravindra Bharti (Bharti Share Market-Founder-CMD), Abhishek Kawitkar (Tree Public Foundation-CEO) were present & felicitated for their outstanding contributions to the event.

In particular, Abhishek Kawitkar praised the Aarambh Foundation for its innovative nest box design aimed at supporting sparrows. Shantilal Kataria, while acknowledging the efforts of the Aarambh Foundation, urged the audience to extend their support not only through their presence but also by contributing to the cause in the future.

The highlight of the evening was the captivating drama “Chimnyanchi Shaala” directed by Ashwini Ambike, featuring 18 talented students from grades 4 to 7.

Additionally, the audience was treated to the documentary “Chimni Mhanje Kay,” starring renowned Marathi singer Savaniee Ravindra.

The ceremony also saw the Business Entrepreneurship Awards under the joint initiative of Dreams Per Square Feet and Punekar News. Akhilesh Agarwal, Director of KalaCasa Studio, Mahesh Ghorpade, Founder/Director of Revell Creations, and Dimakh Sahasrabuddhe, Founder/Director of Dimakh Consultants were among the awardees.

The event garnered support from notable figures such as Pushkar Shrotri, music director Rahul Ranade, actor Vijay Mishra, and renowned Marathi singer P. Sanjeev Abhyankar, further amplifying its impact.
