Driving License Application Made Easy at Home

New Delhi, 19th March 2024: In a bid to simplify the process of obtaining a driving license, the government has introduced an online application system. Failure to possess a valid driving license incurs heavy fines, necessitating adherence to legal requirements.

To apply online, individuals must provide essential documents including a passport-sized photo, signature, learning license number, mobile number, Aadhar card, residence certificate, and address proof. Additionally, a date of birth certificate is required.

Step 1- First, you have to go to sarathi.parivahan.gov.in.
Step 2- Select your state.
Step 3- Click on “New Driving License”. This option will appear in the “Driving License” menu.
Step 4- You have to fill in the learning license number and DOB (Date of Birth).
Step 5- Now the application form has to be filled.
Step 6- Tap on the Next button to proceed.
Step 7- After completing this, you have to go to the RTO at the scheduled time with the original documents and fee slip.

This process ensures a streamlined approach to acquiring a driving license from the comfort of one’s home.
