Pune: Robbery Attempt at BPCL Petrol Pump Near PMC Main Building in Shivajinagar

Shivajinagar, 27th February 2024: A daring robbery attempt took place at the BPCL petrol pump located near the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) headquarters on Monday night, creating a wave of concern in the bustling Shivajinagar area’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road.

The incident occurred around 9 pm when 3 to 4 individuals, donning masks, launched a brazen attack on the petrol pump, inflicting significant damage in their bid to carry out the robbery. The attackers vandalized the premises, causing chaos and instilling fear among the staff and onlookers.

Promptly responding to the distress call, the Pune police arrived at the scene to assess the situation and initiate necessary measures. A panchnama, a formal examination of the crime scene, was conducted by the authorities to gather evidence and document the extent of the vandalism. As of now, the search for the perpetrators is actively underway.
