Pune: House Attacked and Vandalized Amid Allegations of Elopement for Marriage in Chinchwad

Chinchwad, 6th February 2024: An incident unfolded in Chinchwad, where the residence of a young man was subjected to a violent attack and vandalism on Sunday (4th). Allegations swirled that the young woman had eloped with the man, prompting retaliatory action from her family members.

Promptly, a woman filed a complaint at the Pimpri Police Station, prompting legal action against four individuals associated with the girl’s family.

Police investigations have uncovered that the assailants, suspecting the elopement of the girl with the young man, forcibly breached the premises by breaking the door. Subsequently, they ransacked the household, causing significant damages estimated to be between Rs 50,000 to 60,000.

In response to this incident, the Pimpri police have registered a case and commenced a thorough investigation into the matter.
