Moshi/Nigdi, 5th February 2024: Two separate incidents of oil spills occurred on Sunday (4th), causing disruptions in the Moshi and Nigdi areas. The timely response of local authorities prevented potential accidents and ensured the safety of commuters.

In the first incident, a dumper spilled oil between Alankapuram Chowk and Wadmukhwadi in Moshi due to a leak in its oil tank. The driver noticed the issue approximately two to two and a half kilometers later, prompting the dumper to come to a halt on its side. The Moshi Sub-Fire Station personnel swiftly responded by applying soil at the spill site, making the road safe for traffic.

The second incident occurred at Bhel Chowk in Nigdi Pradhikaran, where officials from the Pradhikaran Fire Station promptly attended the scene. Soldiers deployed at the site efficiently washed the oil-spilled road and successfully removed the hazardous substance. The oil spill had created a potential risk of vehicle skids and serious accidents, making the rapid intervention crucial.

The coordinated efforts of the emergency response teams in both Moshi and Nigdi reflect their commitment to public safety.
