Massive Rs 84 Lakh Fraud In Cryptocurrency: Pune Cyber Police Arrest Accused Associated With Bitsolives Company

Pune, 6th January 2024: A series of frauds involving a cryptocurrency called Buckcoin has been exposed by the Pune Cyber Police Station. The accused organized seminars at various locations, enticing the complainant and other investors to invest in Buckcoin, promising lucrative returns through multilevel marketing schemes.

The complainant, along with seven co-investors, fell victim to the fraudulent activities, resulting in a collective loss of Rs 84 lakhs. In response, the Pune Cyber Police initiated a thorough investigation, leading to the arrest of the primary accused, Ganesh Shivkumar Sagar, a 47-year-old resident of Dwarka, New Delhi. A charge sheet has been submitted against Sagar in court.

The accused directors, associated with Bitsolives Pvt Ltd in Dubai, orchestrated the deceptive seminars promoting Buxcoin investments and multilevel marketing plans. One of the directors, Prashant Kumar Kamlesh Bhai Brahmbhatt, aged 34 and a resident of Vadodara, Gujarat, was arrested in connection with a case registered by the Economic Offences Wing at DCB Police Station in Surat City. He was confined to Central Jail, Lajpore, Surat, Gujarat, before being apprehended and transported to Pune. The court has remanded Brahmbhatt to police custody until January 9.

Police Inspector Chandrasekhar Sawant is spearheading the ongoing investigation into the fraudulent scheme. The Cyber Police Station in Shivajinagar, Pune City is urging individuals who may have been deceived by the name of Bitsolives Pvt Ltd to invest to come forward and contact them.
