It was graced by the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Health Minister Dr. Tanaji Sawant, MLA Mahesh Landge, Ashwini Jagtap, Uma Khapare, Bhimrao Tapkir, and BJP City President Shankar Jagtap attended this noteworthy event.

Fadnavis emphasized the significance of the ‘Atal Free Mahaarogya’ camp in Pune, highlighting its role in offering accessible healthcare to citizens. He praised the Maharashtra government’s efforts to expand the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, providing free treatment up to 5 lakhs per person. Commending the late Laxman Jagtap’s commitment to organizing health camps, Fadnavis expressed appreciation for the initiative, which registered over 150,000 citizens. The camp, with 150 participating hospitals and 2000 doctors, aimed to address various health issues. Fadnavis underscored the government’s dedication to public welfare, echoing the vision of a Ram Rajya and a society that addresses the needs of the exploited and underprivileged.

After the program, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed the controversial statement made by Nationalist Congress MLA Jitendra Awhad regarding Lord Shri Ram.

NCP leader Jitendra Awhad sparked controversy by suggesting that Lord Ram belonged to the ‘Bahujans’ and was a non-vegetarian, diverging from common beliefs. Awhad asserted that following Ram’s ideals, ‘Bahujans’ consume mutton. This statement, made during an event in Shirdi, Maharashtra, has faced criticism and a formal complaint, with Hindu seers calling for stringent action against such remarks.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis characterized Jitendra Awhad’s statement as foolish, using the Hindi phrase ‘badnam hue to kya hue, naam to hua’ to suggest a bid for attention. Fadnavis expressed surprise that those who identify as Hindutvadis were not protesting against such remarks. Fadnavis emphasized that Lord Sri Ram belongs to everyone, irrespective of caste or community. He argued against unnecessary debates on whether Lord Shri Ram was vegetarian or non-vegetarian, stating that such discussions unnecessarily hurt sentiments and create unrest. Fadnavis questioned the silence of those claiming to be Hindutvadis, urging them to speak out against such divisive statements.

Fadnavis, addressing the ED action against MLA Rohit Pawar’s company, remarked that it shouldn’t be unnecessarily sensationalized. Fadnavis acknowledged that he wasn’t aware of whether Pawar’s company had been raided, emphasizing that businesses often face such actions, and it’s a part of the normal course in business operations. He urged calm, stating that if no wrongdoing has occurred, there is no need for undue concern, and there is no justification to politicize the issue without reason.

Shifting the focus, Fadnavis discussed the ongoing Indrayani River Improvement Scheme, highlighting that such projects require a considerable timeframe, typically more than a year or two. He explained that municipalities and municipal corporations in responsibility of the Indrayani River are implementing various schemes to prevent the discharge of polluted water into the river. Fadnavis said that these efforts might extend the timeline for the project but assured that the actions are necessary for the improvement of the river’s condition.

In a brazen incident today, notorious gangster Sharad Mohol shot dead by his accomplices in Kothrud, Pune.

Responding to the incident, Fadnavis, who is also the home minister, made a statement, dismissing the possibility of a gang war in Pune. He asserted that Sharad Mohol was killed by one of his own associates, and he issued a stern warning that the government has provisions for dealing with such individuals. Fadnavis emphasized that no one would dare to instigate or participate in gang-related activities under the government’s watch.
