Pune: Traffic Modifications in Dehu Road Area Ahead of Chief Minister’s Shiv Sankalp Campaign Meeting

Dehu Road, 5th January 2024: In anticipation of the Shiv Sena (Shinde group) party’s Shiv Sankalp campaign meeting at Mukai Chowk, Kiwale, on Saturday, January 6th, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s presence has prompted traffic changes in the Dehu Road and Kiwale vicinity.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Bapu Bangar has issued directives for these changes, effective from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday, excluding essential services vehicles such as police, ambulance, fire department, petrol and diesel tankers, PMPML buses, and school buses.

Traffic Diversions and Road Closures:

1. Mukai Chowk to Adarsh Nagar Road Closure:
– Road closed for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Alternative Route: Vehicles heading to Adarsh Nagar from Pune should use Dehu Road Bazar via Vikas Nagar.

2. Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (Shinde Petrol Pump) to Mukai Chowk Road Closure:
– Road closed for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Alternative Route: Vehicles from Mumbai should take the left-side service road from HP Petrol Pump, followed by a left turn at Sameer Banquet and Lawns Underpass, leading to the destination via Ravet Gaothan.

3. Exit at Kiwale Chowk from Mumbai Expressway Closure:
– Entry is prohibited for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Alternative Route: Vehicles coming from Mumbai will take a left from HP Petrol Pump on the service road and turn left at Sameer Banquet and Lawns Underpass to reach their destination via Ravet Gaothan.

4. Approaching Krishna Veg Hotel Chowk from Pune Closure:
– Entry is prohibited for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Alternative Route: Vehicles travelling from Pune to Mumbai will use the express highway to Mumbai.

5. Kiwale Bus Stand to Vitthala Pure Veg Hotel Puncture Road Closure:
– Road closed for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Alternative Route: Vehicles from Mumbai will turn left from HP Petrol Pump on the service road, then take a left at Sameer Banquet and Lawns Underpass to reach the destination via Ravet Gaothan.

6. Mavala Statue to Vitthala Pure Veg Hotel Puncture and Krishna Veg Hotel Chowk to Sentosa Multi Cuisine Restaurant Puncture Closure:
– Road closed for all vehicles (except event vehicles).
– Vehicles from Kiwale village should use the Sameer Banquet and Lawns underpass route instead of Krishna Hotel Chowk.

These traffic modifications are implemented to ensure a smooth flow of the Shiv Sankalp campaign meeting and maintain the safety of all attendees. Commuters are urged to plan their routes accordingly and follow the designated alternative paths during the specified timeframe.
