Pune: No Drunk And Drive Case In Lonavala City On New Year Eve; Nearby Places Report 5 Incidents

Lonavala, 3rd January 2024: Across all police stations within the Lonavala Subdivision, a total of five Drunk and Drive cases were reported on the new year eve. The cumulative penalties reached 510, with fines totaling Rs 3,61,500.

Satyasai Karthik, Sub Divisional Police Officer for Lonavala Division, provided this information, shedding light on the increasing instances of traffic violations and emphasizing the need for continued vigilance and enforcement to ensure road safety.

Vadgaon Maval Police Station:
On the 30th and 31st of December 2023, Vadgaon Maval police reported three instances of Drunk and Drive violations. A total of 63 cases were registered, resulting in fines amounting to Rs 52,500.

Lonavala City Police Station:
The Lonavala City Police Station reported no Drunk and Drive incidents during the specified period. However, a significant traffic violation count emerged with a total of 361 cases, leading to penalties totaling Rs 2,61,300.

Lonavala Rural Police Station:
No Drunk and Drive cases were recorded at Lonavala Rural Police Station. However, 20 traffic violations were reported, resulting in fines totaling Rs 10,000.

Kamshet Police Station:
Kamshet Police Station recorded two Drunk and Drive cases, contributing to a total of 66 traffic violations. The fines imposed amounted to Rs 37,700.
