Hemanshu Kishorebhai Trivedi Remanded to ED Custody for Five Days in Kotak Mahindra Bank Fraud Case

Patna, 21st December 2023:H emanshu Kishorebhai Trivedi, implicated in the Kotak Mahindra Bank fraud case, faced a significant legal development as the Hon’ble Special PMLA Court, Patna, issued an order on 20th December 2023. This ruling remanded Trivedi to Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody for a duration of five days.

Trivedi’s legal entanglement commenced on 13th December 2023 when the Enforcement Directorate arrested him under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. Initially placed under judicial custody until 23rd December 2023 by the same court, the recent order transferred him to the ED’s custody, extending the legal proceedings in connection with the alleged fraudulent activities linked to Kotak Mahindra Bank.
