Hyundai Creta Facelift: Redefined Luxury, Safety, and Performance Unveiled
16th December 2023: Hyundai is gearing up to introduce the latest iteration of the Hyundai Creta facelift in the Indian market as the new year unfolds. Initially launched in 2020, the second generation Hyundai Creta is anticipated to hit the Indian market on January 16, 2024, although official confirmation is pending. The international launch of the new generation Creta has already taken place, but adjustments are expected for the Indian version.
The facelifted Hyundai Creta showcases a redesigned front, featuring LED DRLs, LED headlights, and a larger square-shaped grille. Notable changes include a fresh chrome finish, a new silver speed plate, and updated fog lights. The side profile will maintain similarity to the current model, now complemented by new 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear is poised for enhancements, including a new skid plate, connected LED tail lights with dynamic turn indicators, and a spoiler, providing the revamped Creta with heightened road presence.
Interior transformations of the new generation Creta include a completely redesigned dashboard layout with a central console, new seat upholstery, soft-touch surfaces, and footwell lighting. The cabin aims for heightened comfort and luxury, equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay connectivity, and wireless Android Auto. Noteworthy features encompass a 6-way height-adjustable driver seat, front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, wireless mobile charging, dual-zone climate control, and heated seats.
Ensuring safety, the Hyundai Creta Facelift incorporates Level 2 ADAS technology, encompassing departure from line warning, lane return, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, front and rear collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic alert, traffic jam assist, and driver alert. Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control, a tire pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, hill descent control, traction control, a 360-degree camera with reverse parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
The upcoming Hyundai Creta will offer multiple engine options, with a choice of three engines. While the ex-showroom price in India is expected to commence around Rs 10.50 lakh, confirmation from the company is awaited. Positioned as a premium model over its predecessor, the Hyundai Creta facelift will vie for attention in the Indian market against competitors like Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyrider, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
