Pune: Worker Arrested for Stealing and Selling Iron Wire From Blue Ridge Construction Site In Hinjawadi
Hinjawadi, 11th December 2023: In an incident at midnight on October 16, a worker at a construction site in Blue Ridge, Hinjawadi, allegedly stole and sold iron wire valued at ₹61,000.
The accused, identified as Kailas Gangadharrao Deshmukh, a 29-year-old resident of Undri, has been apprehended by the police. The complaint was lodged by Kiran Palkhe, a 39-year-old resident of Swargate, leading to swift action by the Hinjawadi Police.
Kailas Deshmukh, working at Blue Ridge Tower, The Orion, reportedly pilfered and sold iron wire weighing 1 kg, an essential material for construction purposes at the site. The estimated value of the stolen iron wire amounted to ₹61,000. The incident came to light when Kiran Palkhe, presumably an individual associated with the construction site, filed a complaint with the Hinjawadi Police Station.
Following the complaint, the police acted promptly and arrested Kailas Deshmukh in connection with the theft. A case has been registered, and the Hinjawadi Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
