Pune: Notorious Goon Detained in Hadapsar Area for One Year, 67th Such Action By Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr

Hadapsar, 10th December 2023: Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has detained a notorious goon from Hadapsar for a period of one year, citing his involvement in terrorizing citizens.

The accused, identified as Gaurav Santosh Adsul, resides in Shiv Chaitanya Colony in Lane 5, Shewalwadi, Haveli taluka, Pune district.

According to the police, Gaurav, along with his accomplices, has been involved in serious crimes such as robbery, causing injuries, and illegal possession of weapons in the Hadapsar area. Over the past five years, he has accumulated three serious crime charges. His criminal activities significantly disrupted public order in the area.

Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Shelke, in-charge of Hadapsar police station, drafted a proposal for Adsul’s detention under the provisions of the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act (MPDA).

Commissioner of Police Kumaarr approved the proposal, resulting in Adsul being confined to Nagpur Central Jail.

The police commissioner has taken action against 67 goons under the MPDA till now.
