Volkswagen Drives Sales with Taigun Discounts and Editions

7th December 2023: Volkswagen continues to boost sales in the Indian market through a dual strategy of enticing discounts and introducing new editions across its vehicle lineup. Recently, Volkswagen unveiled the Tiguan Sound Edition and Trail Edition in India. As the year draws to a close, Volkswagen is offering a substantial discount of Rs 1.46 lakh on the Taigun model, aiming to captivate potential buyers. It’s crucial to note that this discount is applicable until December 31, 2023.

The pricing spectrum for the Volkswagen Taigun in India spans from Rs 13.53 lakh to Rs 22.98 lakh on-road in Delhi. Specifically, the Tail Edition is priced at Rs 16.30 lakh, while the Sound Edition is available at Rs 16.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Rs 1.46 lakh discount on the Taigun encompasses a combination of cash discount, exchange bonus, and corporate discount.

Taigun enthusiasts can choose between two variants, Dynamic and Performance Line, and explore a palette of five colors, including Curcuma Yellow, Wild Cherry Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel Gray, and Reflex Silver. Additional color options, Carbon Steel Matt and Deep Blue, are also available. The Trail Edition boasts three color choices: Candy White, Reflex Silver, and Carbon Steel Grey.

The Taigun stands out with its features, including an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a host of premium amenities such as connected car technology, wireless charging, ventilated seats, a single-pane sunroof, ambient lighting, and more. Safety is a priority, with features like six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring, hill-hold assist, and a rear parking sensor with a camera, earning it a 5-star rating from Global NCAP.

Powering the Taigun are two turbo petrol engines: a 1.0-liter engine generating 115 bhp and 178 Nm torque, and a 1.5-liter engine producing 150 bhp and 250 Nm torque. Both engines come with a standard six-speed manual transmission, while the 7-speed DCT transmission is available with the 1.5-liter engine and a six-speed torque converter.

In the competitive landscape of the Indian market, the Volkswagen Taigun goes head-to-head with notable rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos Facelift, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyrider, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
