Pune: PMPML To Run 342 Extra Buses For Devotees Going For Alandi Yatra From December 6 To 12

Alandi, 4th December 2023: On the occasion of Kartiki Ekadashi and the Sanjivan Samadhi ceremony of Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) will run 342 extra buses between December 6 and 12. Buses will operate from Katewasti by relocating the existing bus stand in Alandi village in light of the Yatra occasion.

The buses will be available during the night, connecting Alandi with Swargate, Hadapsar, Pune station, Manpa Bhavan, Nigdi, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Dehugaon, Bhosari, and Rahatani.

Extra bus services will be operational after 10 pm, with an additional fare of Rs 5 beyond the regular fare. Passes issued by PMPML, including one-day, weekly, monthly, senior citizen, and other pass holders, will remain valid until 10 pm during the travel period. However, these passes cannot be used for additional bus services after this time.

Launchpad

To facilitate transportation for devotees attending the Alandi Yatra, PMPML is deploying additional bus services utilizing existing buses. Some buses from city bus routes will be redirected to accommodate this Yatra special bus service. Notably, Route No. 264 from Bhosari to Pabal and Route No. 257 from Alandi to Markal will be temporarily closed during the Yatra.
