NHAI Pune Takes a Stand: Illegal Encroachments from Kasurdi to Kavadipat Stretch on Pune-Solapur Highway Must Go in Seven Days
Pune, 1st December 2023: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Pune, has issued an appeal to clear encroachments and unauthorized constructions along the Kasurdi to Kavadipat stretch on the Pune-Solapur National Highway within the next seven days.
It has come to the attention of NHAI Pune that property holders in the vicinity have illegally encroached upon the Pune-Solapur National Highway between Kasurdi and Kavadipat. These encroachments are obstructing the planned expansion of the highway.
As a resolution, NHAI directs the removal of encroachments within 15 meters from the center of the road on both sides at the owner’s expense. Failure to comply within the stipulated timeframe will result in eviction by NHAI under the National Highways Control (Land and Transport) Act 2002. The costs and penalties incurred will be recovered from the respective property holders, as communicated by Project Director Sanjay Kadam.
