Symbolic Honour: Former President Pratibha Patil Presents Special Gifts to President Droupadi Murmu in Pune
Pune, 30th November 2023: In a notable visit to Pune, the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, was welcomed by former President Pratibha Patil. This marked the President’s first visit to Pune since assuming office.
In a gesture of honour, Pratibha Patil presented President Murmu with an idol and a shawl on behalf of the people of Pune at the esteemed Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir.
The occasion also witnessed the presentation of the first copy of the book titled ‘Inside the Child Protection Act (POCSO),’ authored by Adv Pratap Pardeshi and Dr. Avinash Bhondve, to President Murmu. This significant literary work sheds light on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The book was presented as part of the event, further enriching the visit.
Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Rural Development Minister Dada Bhuse, along with Jyotitai Rathore, Jayesh Rathore, Pratap Pardeshi, and Vinit Pardeshi were among the dignitaries present during this distinguished visit.
