Bihar governor Ramnath Kovind will be the next President of India
New Delhi – After long time the mystery over the President’s nomination is over.
The BJP led NDA government at the centre has announced current Bihar Governor Ramnath Kovind, a Dalit leader, will be their candidate for the post of President of the India.
Kovind, a former lawyer of Delhi High court and the Supreme Court, hails from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He also served as Rajya Sabha Member from Uttar Pradesh during 1994-2000 and 2000-2006.
He also served as member of Board of Management of Dr. B.R Ambedkar University, Lucknow and Member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata.
