Pune, 8th November 2023: A scientific study has revealed that combining Ayurvedic and modern cancer treatment helps improve patient condition, life expectancy and quality of life along with avoiding side-effects of chemotherapy. The findings were presented at the ‘International Conference on Ayurveda and Modern Treatments’ held in Canada by the ‘Society for Integrative Oncology’. Rasayu Cancer Clinic founder Vaidya Yogesh Bendale and chief researcher Dr. Avinash Kadam presented the findings. Dr Punam Birari, Dr Anand Patil and Dr Pravin Gund participated in this research.

Dr. Kadam said, “Rasayan therapy of Rasayu Cancer Clinic was successfully combined with the modern treatment of cancer. This created a positive attitude of the patients towards the treatment. Patients started to respond to the treatment and improvement in their condition was evident because Ayurveda Rasayan therapy has the power to bring about this transformation.”

Research Methodology

  • A team of doctors and researchers closely studied 155 cancer patients
  • A pre-research survey was conducted. The reasons for patients to accept Ayurvedic treatment methods, as well as their expectations from Ayurveda were learned
  • From this survey, it became clear that the needs of the patients are not being met by the modern treatment methods
  • Modern treatments have direct effects on physical, emotional, and mental aspects. Rasayan therapy of Ayurveda was used to reduce it
  • Rasayu therapy improved the health condition of the patients
  • Satisfactory results reported in patient’s fight against cancer.

How does Rasayan therapy work?

Ayurveda, an Indian system of medicine, seeks to balance all aspects of life, including body, mind and spirit. The aim of Rasayan therapy is to cure the disease, as well as to achieve a healthy long life. It primarily works on the immune system at the body and mental level. Rasayan therapy aims to reduce the incidence of cancer wherever possible, as well as increase the quality of life in advanced stage cancer patients. The purpose of achieving longevity is achieved through it.

Vaidya Yogesh Bendale, Chairman & Managing Director, Rasayu Group said, “More than 80 percent of cancer patients in the country are diagnosed at an advanced stage. Patients who do not respond to modern treatment methods or whose quality of life deteriorates during treatment are looking for better options to improve their quality of life. Quality of life is the biggest challenge in treatment in such patients. The main goal of Rasayan therapy is to improve the patient’s quality of life by trying to stop further progression of the cancer. There is a misconception that modern and Ayurvedic treatments cannot be taken together. This study proves that modern and Ayurvedic therapies can meet the expectations of patients.”
