Pune: Software Engineer Couple’s Home Robbed of Rs 10.33 Lakh Worth Ornaments In Lohegaon

Lohegaon, 4th November 2023: Burglars targeted the residence of a software engineer couple, making away with gold and silver ornaments valued at a total of Rs 10.33 lakh in Pawar Wasti area of Lohegaon, Pune. The break-in occurred between October 27 and 31.

Surveillance footage revealed three individuals emerging from a farm field behind the row house society, scaling the back wall of the compound to gain access to the victim’s property. The burglars, armed with sharp weapons, forcefully broke the locks on the main door and the security gate. Once inside, they targeted a wooden cupboard on the first floor, making off with a bag filled with jewelry before escaping through the rear exit.

The victims were away in the native place in Bihar. Upon receiving a call from a concerned neighbor about the break-in, the couple rushed back to Pune on Thursday.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed on the same day. Police are further investigating the case.
