Pune: Vishrantwadi Chowk To Get Flyover, Skywalk To Be Relocated
Vishrantwadi, 3rd November 2023: To address the persistent traffic congestion at Vishrantwadi Chowk on Alandi Road, plans are in place to construct a new flyover and grade separator. Consequently, the pedestrian SkyWalk, previously built at a substantial cost, will be relocated to the nearby Pratik Nagar Chowk.
In light of the upcoming construction of a grade separator and flyover at this intersection, designed to alleviate traffic issues for areas including Dhanori, Lohegaon, Vidyanagar, Pune-Alandi Road, and Airport Road, the decision has been made to remove the SkyWalk from this location.
These infrastructure changes aim to improve traffic management, enhance pedestrian convenience, and provide a more efficient transportation system in these areas, ultimately addressing longstanding issues of congestion and accessibility.
