Pune, 1st November 2023: In a shocking incident near the Mundhwa jackwell bridge leading from Kharadi, an ex-employee turned consultant, along with five accomplices, assaulted and robbed the owner of a company. The victim was forcibly taken to a deserted area in Purandar, where he was beaten and threatened.

The primary accused, Hanumant Vitthal Shirsath (29 years old), formerly a consultant in the company, allegedly orchestrated the assault due to unresolved financial disputes between them. After leaving the company, Shirasath, along with Srikant Yashwant Pawar, Sridhar Sayaji Salunkhe (28 years old), Jayashree Ajinkya Kurane (39 years old), and Varsha Ramesh Mane (22 years old), pursued the complainant and subjected him to physical assault.

During the assault, the perpetrators forcibly took his mobile phone and laptop, compelling him to transfer five lakh rupees to Shirsath’s company account. Additionally, they coerced him to issue a cheque amounting to Rs. 24 lakh. The incident transpired on September 4, creating a harrowing experience for the victim.

Santosh Shivaji Pawar filed a complaint at the Chandan Nagar police station against the six individuals involved in the assault. The accused face charges related to assault, robbery, and extortion.

The prosecution reveals that Salunkhe, Kurane, and Mane, in addition to the physical assault, stole crucial data and documents from complainant’s company. These stolen assets were allegedly used to establish a new company, with claims that the accused are actively engaging with clients based on this misappropriated information.

A complaint regarding the data theft and fraudulent formation of a new company was filed in court. Following the court’s directive, the Chandan Nagar police registered a case against the accused individuals, initiating a thorough investigation into the matter.
