Winter Chill Grips Pune And Surrounding Areas; Minimum Temperature Drops Below 15 Degrees

Pune, 28th October 2023: Residents of Pune and its surrounding areas are waking up to a chilly winter morning as temperatures have dipped below 15 degrees Celsius. Today, Pashan experienced a cooler 12.4 degrees Celsius and Shivajinagar recorded a minimum temperature of 14 degree Celsius. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts the possibility of hail in the region for the next four days.

In a notable shift, this winter season has marked a departure from the usual temperatures, with minimum readings falling below the 15-degree mark.

The Meteorological Department anticipates that the downward trend in night and morning temperatures will persist in Pune city and its surroundings for the next four days, with minimum temperatures expected to range between 15 to 17 degrees Celsius on average.

Simultaneously, the maximum temperature in the city and surrounding areas has also witnessed a decline. After soaring above the average of 35 degrees Celsius last week, the mercury has now stabilized at 32 degrees Celsius for the past three days. Friday recorded a maximum temperature of 32.1 and a minimum temperature of 14.4 degrees Celsius.
