Pune: Trainee Aircraft Crashes Near Baramati, Trainee and Instructor Injured
Baramati, 22nd October 2023: A trainee aircraft belonging to Red Bird Aviation crashed near the Gojubavi village in Baramati earlier today. A trainee and an instructor have sustained injuries in the incident and they have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to police, the aircraft crashed in an open area at around 6:30 am on Sunday during a training session. No casualty was reported in the incident and the civilian settlements were also not affected since it crashed near a farm. This comes two days after a similar incident was reported in Baramati where an aircraft belonging to the same aviation firm crashed inside the academy’s premises.

Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in an official statement said “Red Bird Academy Tecnam aircraft VT-RBT made an emergency landing near Baramati airfield. The instructor and trainee both are safe. Further investigation underway.”
